MTC/OTS Midwest Tour – Thank you, Denver!
Thanks for a great show, Denver! The concert at Red Rocks was a great success, probably the best crowd we had. This was the first time for most of the members of the choir and orchestra to see Red Rocks (my second, though first time anything was going on) and everyone loved it. Thanks to everyone who came and supported us!
For any who were there and wondering why we all looked like we were laughing during the encore, Gov. Ritter was holding the baton by the wrong end while he was conducting us before it broke (I think) and flew into the violin section. I guess that’s the sort of thing that happens when the guest conductor does not come to the sound check. He had the biggest grin on his face and thoroughly enjoyed himself. What a way to end the tour!
Now we are on our way back to Salt Lake City. This has been a great tour – great food, great people, fun locations, and just the right length of time. See everyone back in Utah!
