Orchestra Concert Success

Thank you to everyone who attended the Orchestra at Temple Square Concert this last weekend. The program was a great success! I had a really good time with all three pieces and really appreciated the large audiences that turned out to support the ensemble. Thank you!

Excited for OTS Spring Concert

Yesterday we had our first tutti rehearsal for the Orchestra at Temple Square Spring Concert. I sure am excited for the concert! We spent most of the time reading through the Van Brugge Double Concerto, and I am looking forward to putting it together with the soloists. It is atonal and the writing is very rich in the use of colors.

We also did a read through of Bernstein’s West Side Story. Woo-whee! Fun stuff. The music for the concert is really going to be something else. I am listening to Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet right now, and I am getting more and more pumped up for this concert. Hope to see you there!

Thank You, St. George

Thank you to everyone who attended the St. George and Dixie State College celebration with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square! The stadium was jam packed and we loved performing for you. Even though I did not play in them, I personally really enjoyed Alex Boye’s solo songs, each of which was loved by the audience. Great job Alex!
