December 16, 2012: Aurora Symphony Holiday Masterworks – “Making Spirits Bright” (7:30 pm @ Gateway Center for the Performing Arts, Aurora, CO ~ $12-$15) – Geoffrey Pope leads the Aurora Symphony in an evening of light classics including Borodin’s Polovetsian Dances, Palestrina’s Adoramus Te, Dream Pantomime by Humperdinck, Bizet’s Carmen Fantasy featuring Elizabeth Dickenson on violin, and Anderson’s Sleigh Ride.

October 21, 2012: Aurora Symphony Fall Masterworks Concert (7:30 pm @ Gateway Center for the Performing Arts, Aurora, CO ~ $12-$15) – Tchaikovsky’s enthralling and ponderous Symphony No. 4 opens the Aurora Symphony’s 35th anniversary season. Also on the program is La Forza del Destino Overture by Verdi and Chausson’s Poeme, featuring Tena White on violin. This will be a night filled with wonderful music!
